Tips to manage Year 12!

Year 12 can feel overwhelming — with exams, assignments, and thinking about the future, it’s easy to feel stressed. But don’t worry! Here are some simple tips to help you stay calm and in control.

1. Make a plan- A clear plan can reduce stress and help you stay on track. Break big tasks into smaller, manageable goals. Be specific — instead of saying “study maths,” write “revise algebra for 30 minutes.” Use a calendar or planner, and set reminders on your phone so you don’t forget important dates. Make sure to include time for rest and fun too!

2. Take care of your body- Eat healthy food, get enough sleep, and move your body — even a 10-minute walk helps. A healthy body supports a healthy mind.

3. Don’t forget to breathe-When things get too much, pause. Take a few deep breaths, stretch, or do something that relaxes you — like listening to music or talking to a friend.

4. Ask for help- You’re not alone. Talk to your teachers, parents, or school counsellor if you’re feeling stuck or stressed.

5. Stay positive-Believe in yourself. Year 12 is just one part of your journey — doing your best is more important than being perfect.
