What To Expect From Sessions
Eating Disorder Recovery Clinician
When you work with me, you can expect structured, recovery-focused care that addresses the full complexity of eating disorders — including eating behaviours, emotional factors, family dynamics, and the patterns that keep the illness in place.
Early sessions focus on developing a clear understanding of the eating disorder and establishing practical steps toward change. Where appropriate, weight, nutrition, behavioural support, and medical considerations are thoughtfully integrated into care. Family involvement is often central to treatment.
I support parents and carers in understanding their role in recovery, providing guidance that brings structure to mealtimes while reducing stress and conflict at home.
Individual work is tailored to each person, supporting behaviour change around food while building the emotional capacity needed for recovery. Sessions may include both individual and family components to strengthen communication and create a more supported recovery environment.
My approach is calm, collaborative, and clinically grounded. We focus on steady, meaningful progress — even when change feels difficult — with the understanding that lasting recovery is built through consistency over time.
Many of the individuals and families I support arrive feeling overwhelmed or unsure of the path forward. Treatment provides clarity, direction, and ongoing clinical guidance as recovery unfolds.
