Many adolescents and adults with ADHD struggle with food in ways that are often misunderstood.
You may find yourself:
Forgetting to eat for hours and then overeating later
Experiencing constant food thoughts or "food noise"
Using food to regulate emotions or seek stimulation
Feeling out of control around certain foods
Struggling with binge eating, emotional eating, or chaotic eating patterns
Feeling guilt, shame, or frustration around food
These difficulties are rarely about a lack of willpower.
ADHD can affect executive functioning, emotional regulation, impulse control, routine building, and awareness of hunger and fullness cues—all of which can influence eating behaviours.
As both a Dietitian and Registered Counsellor, I provide integrated support that addresses both the nutritional and psychological factors contributing to eating difficulties.
Together we can work on:
✔ Understanding your eating patterns✔ Reducing binge eating episodes✔ Managing food noise✔ Building regular eating habits✔ Improving awareness of hunger and fullness✔ Developing ADHD-friendly nutrition strategies✔ Reducing anxiety, guilt, and shame around food
Appointments are available for adolescents, adults, and parents seeking support for ADHD-related eating challenges.
